Remember this when hearing news from 🇮🇱 and commentators saying, “Stand by Israel.”
Romans 9:6-15 ~
“But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For they are not all Israel who are descended from Israel; nor are they all children because they are Abraham’s descendants, but: ‘through Isaac your descendants will be named.’
That is, it is not the children of the flesh who are children of [Jehovah] but the children of the promise are regarded as descendants…
…Just as it is written, ‘Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.’
What shall we say then? There is no injustice with God, is there? May it never be! For He says to Moses, ‘I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.’”
Genesis 36 ~
“Esau is Edom… Esau was the father of the Edomites.”
Psalm 108:8-9 ~
“Giliad is Mine; Manasseh is Mine; Ephraim also is the helmet for My head; Judah is My lawgiver.
Moab is My washpot; Over Edom I will cast My shoe; Over Philistia I will triumph.”
Isaiah 34:5 ~
“For My sword shall be bathed in heaven; Indeed it shall come down on Edom and on the people of My curse, for judgment.”
Jeremiah 49:7-22 ~
“Edom also shall be an astonishment; Everyone who goes by it will be astonished and hiss at all its plagues…The heart of the mighty (powerful; tyrant) men of Edom in that day shall be like the heart of a woman in birth pangs.”
John 8:33-47 ~
“They (Pharisees, religious authorities) answered Him, ‘We are Abraham’s descendants and have never yet been enslaved to anyone; how is it that You say, ‘You will become free?’
Jesus answered them, “…I know that you are Abraham’s descendants; yet you seek to kill Me, because My word has no place in you. I speak the things which I have seen with My Father; therefore you also do the things which you heard from your father.’
They answered and said to Him, ‘Abraham is our father.’
Jesus said to them, ‘If you are Abraham’s children, do the deeds of Abraham. But as it is, you are seeking to kill Me, a man who has told you the truth, which I heard from [Jehovah] this Abraham did not do. You are doing the deeds of your father.”
They said to Him, ‘We were not born of fornication (like you); we have one father: God.’
Jesus said to them, ‘…Why do you not understand what I am saying? It is because you cannot hear My word. You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father.
He [Satan] was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies…. He who is of [Jehovah] hears the words of [Jehovah]; for this reason you do not hear them, because you are not of [Jehovah].’”
Beginning (ἀρχή); commencement, or concrete chief in order, time, or place: beginning, first estate; or rank:magistrates, powers, principality, ruler. (See Ephesians 6:12).
This same Greek word (ἀρχή Beginning) is used in John 1:1–2, 1st John 1:1-4, and throughout the New Testament.
The Angel of the LORD, Word made flesh, Emmanuel knows you and them from the beginning (John 1:1-2, 1st John 1 and Genesis 1).
He knows His sheep before we’re born. He know the wicked before birth too.
Isaiah 33:10-19 ~
“‘Now I will arise,” says the LORD, Now I will be exalted, now I will be lifted up. You have conceived chaff, you will give birth to stubble; My breath will consume you like a fire.
The peoples will be burned to lime, like cut thorns which are burned in the fire.
‘You who are far away, hear what I have done; And you who are near, acknowledge My might.’
Sinners in Zion are terrified; Trembling has seized the godless (tares, thorns, chaff); ‘Who among us can live with the consuming fire? Who among us can live with continual burning?’”
Zephaniah 3:13-14 ~
“The remnant of Israel will do no wrong and tell no lies, nor will a deceitful tongue be found in their mouths; For they will feed and lie down with no one to make them tremble.
Shout for joy, O daughter of Zion!
Shout in triumph, O Israel!
Rejoice and exult with all your heart, O daughter of Jerusalem!”
Consider ~
After the 1967 Six Day War, 🇮🇱 held The Temple Mount.
Jerusalem was no longer divided city after June, 1967 because the mountain where Abraham bound Isaac and David’s threshing floor, the location of 1st and 2nd Temple was no longer under the authority of the King of Jordan. The Old City was completely under 🇮🇱 governance.
However, 🇮🇱 gave The Temple Mount back to Jordan in exchange for peace, keeping a “Wailing Wall.”
Today, Jerusalem remains a divided city because the Temple Mount is under the governance of the King of Jordan.
Location of the 1st and 2nd Temple is known by Israel Department of Antiquities.
Zechariah 8:3 ~
“Thus says the LORD, ‘I will return to Zion and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. Then Jerusalem will be called the City of Truth, and the mountain of the LORD of hosts (Jesus) will be called the Holy Mountain.’
Consider all the above, and there’s more. Israel 🇮🇱 is government and many are descendants of Abraham but not His chosen people, and not all 🇮🇱 are His sheep.
